Transferring from Movement Mortgage to RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing LLC?

Here’s a CLOSER Look at the loan transfer process

 

If you received a letter from Movement Mortgage stating that your loan will be transferring to RoundPoint, please review the below transfer process for more details. Your letter will indicate the date of your transfer.

 

Transfer Steps


STEP 1:

Movement Mortgage sends you a goodbye letter informing you of the transfer. During this timeframe, you may also have received a welcome email from RoundPoint explaining the next steps.

Dates:

> April 1 Transfers: 15 days prior to April 1

STEP 2: 

Your loan has transferred to RoundPoint and we begin the setup process.

Dates:

> April 1 Transfers: on April 1


STEP 3: 

You may receive a welcome call from RoundPoint. We use this as an opportunity to review the transfer and answer any questions you may have.
Please note: You will NOT be able to set up your online account until the setup process is complete. This process can take up to seven business days.

Dates:

     > April 1 Transfers: between April 1 and April 12

STEP 4:

Keep an eye out for a welcome letter and an email from RoundPoint that will include your new account information. We'll also mail your first RoundPoint billing statement at this time.

Dates:

      > April 1 Transfers: between April 8 and April 15

For most customers enrolled in autopay through Movement Mortgage, your automatic payment will continue uninterrupted.

You were notified within the Goodbye letter you received from Movement Mortgage if your automatic payments will not transfer to RoundPoint. 

 

Already Made A Payment?

If you've already submitted a payment to Movement Mortgage, that’s okay! Payments made to Movement Mortgage within the first 60 days after April 1 will be sent to RoundPoint. If Movement Mortgage sends your payment to RoundPoint, we will apply the payment to your mortgage effective the date Movement Mortgage received it. Any payments made to Movement Mortgage more than 60 days after April 1 may be returned to you. If RoundPoint has not posted your payment after that time, please:

  • Contact your financial institution to confirm if the payment has cleared or not or,
  • Contact us immediately so we can resolve the matter right away

• Once the setup process is complete, you can set up an online account. The process is quick and easy!
• Register as a new user, and you’ll be on your way to reviewing your mortgage loan information, updating your contact information, viewing important documents, and more.
• If you anticipate paying off your loan due to sale or refinance before the transfer date, please ensure funds are sent to your previous servicer.
• If you anticipate paying off your loan due to sale or refinance after the transfer date, please contact us to request a payoff quote.
 
If you’ve recently sent a payment to your previous servicer, that’s okay. Payments made to Flagstar Bank within the first 60 days after December 1 will be sent to RoundPoint. If Flagstar Bank sends your payment to RoundPoint, we will apply the payment to your mortgage effective the date Flagstar Bank received it. Any payments made to Flagstar Bank more than 60 days after December 1 may be returned to you.
You will receive your first RoundPoint billing statement toward the middle of the month. You don’t need the billing statement to make your payment. You can pay online or call 877.426.8805 at any time to make a payment.

Please Note:  Your billing statement may have generated before your first payment posted with RoundPoint, causing the statement to show due for two (2) payments. For the most up-to-date account information, please log into Servicing Digital and review your account dashboard. Your next month’s statement will reflect all payments credited to your account. 
 
We offer a variety of convenient payment methods. We encourage you to explore your options.
• Please contact your third-party bill pay service to update the payment information to reflect RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing LLC as your new servicer.

Your insurance carrier may have already been notified of the change but we suggest you contact your insurance carrier to ensure they have the RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing LLC mortgagee clause listed below:

If you have mortgage life or disability insurance or any other type of optional insurance, please know the transfer of servicing rights may cause your policy to be at risk of cancelation. To discuss options for maintaining your optional insurance coverage, please contact the carrier directly.
• We will work with your previous servicer to obtain information related to your insurance claim as part of the service transfer.
• A RoundPoint agent will review the information and contact you right away to discuss the transition, the status of your insurance claim, and the remaining steps to resolution.
After you've set up your online account, please review the tax information to make sure all parcels are listed. If any parcels are missing, please forward your tax bill to taxes@roundpointmortgage.com to have them added. Only parcels listed are included in your escrow payment and will be paid on your behalf.
Service Transfers are a common occurrence in the mortgage industry. There is nothing a customer does to cause a transfer.
This transfer will not affect your loan terms or, if applicable, your escrow account. Your loan number will change and the transfer could impact fees charged by the new servicer to perform certain activities.

There are no fees associated with the transfer of your loan.

• We will work with your previous servicer to obtain information related to your COVID-related forbearance or workout plan as part of the service transfer.
• A RoundPoint agent will review the information and contact you right away to discuss the transition, the status of your COVID-related forbearance or workout plan, and the remaining steps to resolution.

• We will work with your previous servicer to obtain information related to your loss mitigation workout solution as part of the service transfer.
• A RoundPoint agent will review the documentation and contact you right away to discuss the transition, the status of your loss mitigation workout solution, and the remaining steps to resolution.

• If you were working with your previous servicer on any of the following processes: CEMA request, partial lien release, subordination, recast, PMI removal, Insurance Claim, Successor In Interest authorization, or identity theft, please know we will work with your previous servicer to obtain related information as part of the service transfer.
