Underwriting:
The process by which the lender decides to make a loan, based on the borrower’s ability and willingness to repay the loan due to their employment, credit history, assets and other factors, along with the appropriate rate, term and loan amount. This also involves the evaluation of the property as outlined in the appraisal report.
